A Calmer, More Intentional Wedding Photography Experience

Enjoy your wedding day and look great in photos — without stress, posing pressure, or performance.

Not everyone loves being photographed — and that’s okay. You can have beautiful, meaningful images without feeling awkward or staged.

Designed for Low-Key, Intentional Couples

“Low-key” here means a calm, intentional approach where you’re guided gently, not posed explicitly — perfect for couples who want natural moments, not performance.

If you’re planning a wedding that feels meaningful, personal, and calm, you’re in the right place. Smaller guest lists, modern venues, and quieter moments are celebrated here — and your comfort in front of the camera is my top priority.

  • Gentle guidance, no awkward posing

  • Capture real moments without performance

  • Focus on connection, not spectacle

More Than Just Photos — A Guided Experience

My approach is built around your comfort and the flow of your day. From preparation to the final moments, I help you feel confident, relaxed, and fully present. You’ll always know what to do and when, and I handle the rest.

No awkward instructions, just real moments made memorable. Silly instructions? Most definitely. But not awkward.

How it All Works

Here’s a breakdown of the whole process that I guide you through, from the very beginning right up to the day I hand you your album.

Discovery Day - That’s today. The day you find out I exist and decide I’m someone you want to find out more about.

First Contact - We’ll have a consultation meeting, either in person or virtually, where we’ll get to know each other to make sure we’re a good fit to work together. I’ll ask about your wedding plans, your artistic tastes and what you have in mind for the kind of photography coverage you’re looking for.

If all goes well, we’ll sign a contract (either now or during a follow-up meeting) and you’ll officially have a photographer for your wedding. How exciting!

Engagement Session - If you decide an engagement session is for you, we’ll spend about an hour together taking photos that can be great for you to use on your save-the-date cards and invitations.

The session serves another purpose, too: It’ll give you a chance to get a bit of experience being on camera. Think of it as a practice session for you to build up your confidence once you see how awesome you actually look.

Pre-Wedding Meeting - We’ll have a meeting at some point during the final month before the wedding. This is where we’ll go over the timeline for the wedding to make sure every part of the day gets the time it needs.

We’ll also go over any special photo requests you might have, including a shot list for your family portrait session. As far as photography is concerned, this is the part of the day where organization is crucial.

The Big Day - No need to stress! You have a plan and an expert to guide you through it all, so everything’s under control. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

Photo Delivery - About a month after the wedding, the photos will be ready for delivery. We’ll schedule a meeting for me to hand them over and take care of the final payment.

Album Design Session - Choosing which photos you want in your album is more difficult than most people realize. So many photos to choose from! I’ve found it actually works far more efficiently if I do the initial selection and create the design.

We’ll then schedule a design session where we’ll meet to go over it. You’ll find it’ll be much easier to make decisions about which photos you want to include or remove when you see them in the context of an actual album design. You can add, move or remove any photos you like!

Once we’ve settled on a final design, we’ll go over album options, such as size, cover material and paper type

Album Delivery - The day where everything is complete! I hand you your beautiful new album (and possibly companion albums for your parents) and you write an awesome review about how much you loved working with me.

Some Frequently Asked Questions about my photography style

  • In this context, low-key refers to the relaxed, low-stress atmosphere that I work to create during the wedding day.

  • It’s perfect for camera-shy couples because the emphasis is on making sure you’re as relaxed as possible on camera. When you’re in the right frame of mind, being on camera feels effortless.

  • Traditional wedding photography places much more emphasis on specific poses and perfect lighting. It treats the wedding more as a day-long portrait session than a day-long event.

I place far more importance on the events of the day itself and all the emotions that you’re going to experience.

The perfect pose with the best lighting is meaningless if you have a blank expression on your face, right? When you look at the shot 15 years from now, it won’t do a good job of bringing up any emotions or memories.

  • In the broadest sense of the term, I suppose the answer would be yes. However, I think of it more as prompting than posing. I’ll tell you what to do, but it’ll be a simple instruction and I won’t really tell you specifically how to do it. I want you to interpret it your way so that it feels natural to you.

  • Obviously this approach appeals to people who are apprehensive about being on camera, but in reality it’s great for anyone who isn’t a fan of traditional, formulaic photos.

It’s a perfect style for anyone who wants the photos to be an accurate reflection of their personality.

It doesn’t matter of you’re planning a 30-person wedding in your backyard or a 300-person wedding in a ballroom. If you value moments and memories and you want to be able to simply enjoy the day without the stress of trying to look perfect on camera, this is for you.
